one of my last nights in sydney was ruined by a horrible, sexist, ignorant, generally disrespectful person (who is conveniently studying to be a counsellor). my final comment on this situation is that regardless of where you come from, you can always chose where you go from there and if you belittle someone to the point of victimization you are a coward.
